Welcome
Welcome to Dietary Needs Direct. The company was founded as a one-stop shop in 2001, primarily to help those on the Autistic Spectrum who are on restricted diets as we understood from personal experience the kind of problems that parents and individuals can face trying to find suitable products at the right price. Since then, the shop's range has grown considerably and has been able to help so many additional groups as there are numerous medical conditions that benefit from the avoidance of specific foods as well as a growing number of people being diagnosed with an allergy or intolerance
The shop brings together as many lines as possible to allow parents of those on the Autistic Spectrum and anyone with a diet restriction or multiple intolerances, the broadest choice and most flexibility in coping with everyday nutrition and lifestyle challenges. Products are sourced from trusted suppliers who can offer additive free ingredients, organic production (where possible) and consideration towards the environment and Fair Trade
As a result, Dietary Needs Direct is not only one of the best solutions for Free From foods and products, but also for anyone looking for healthy, natural products and an additive and synthetic free lifestyle
Dietary Needs Direct prides itself in being able to offer customers a one-to-one service to help them source and receive products that are difficult to find and are needed for individual requirements.
Shopping takes just minutes and can be done from home or the office. The need for time-consuming searches around the supermarket, endless access to a multitude of websites or journey to find a well-stocked health food shop ends here!
Word of Caution
|
This information is important and is repeated in the disclaimer on the catalogue page. Please read it carefully |
|
Food ingredients should only be eliminated from a diet under advice from GPs, Dietitians and other medical practitioners. Eliminated food groups need to be replaced with alternative sources of nutrients that have been cut down on in order to maintain good health.
Although the majority of products have been carefully chosen not every product in the store will be suitable for all people with dietary needs as individual cases and tolerances vary and other ingredients (e.g. tomatoes, corn etc) may cause problems for some.
Where known, the ingredients are listed, using information from the manufacturers and supermarkets and are accurate to the best of Dietary Needs Direct knowledge. However they have not been verified by independent testing so please check the labels yourself as formulations may change at any time.
Dietary Needs Direct take no responsibility for any purchase decision or product intake as a result of using this website and information should not be construed as medical advice or recommendation.
If the ingredients notified are apparently safe, but the food seems to be problematic, then contact the manufacturer and do not continue using it. Any uncertainty should be discussed with a doctor or dietitian.
Be aware that labelling laws do not require that all constituents of processed food be shown.
Food other than gluten and casein can cause reactions also. AiA suggest making a food and behaviour diary from the outset to enable further suspect foods to be identified
Please contact us if you feel that a product should be taken off the website
Dietary Needs Direct do not advocate that dietary intervention is in any way a cure for any condition, but it can help to alleviate some of the symptoms.
More information on food allergies and useful contacts can be accessed via the "Link Up" button.

For example words like Dairy Free and Casein Free are alternated depending on the information supplied by manufacturers and some products may be free of certain ingredients, but these do not appear in the guidance table.
