Dispatch Days
Parcels are dispatched from Monday - Thursday inclusive. Orders placed as late as 3pm may still be able to be dispatched the same day (stock permitting). Orders that miss the Thursday afternoon courier collection will arrive on Tuesday as these will be dispatched on Monday
Please remember that orders can be made at any time, regardless of the day or time, either online, by email, fax or post or by phone when the office is open from Monday to Friday inclusive. Office hours are at least 9am - 5pm and usually later
Overview
No one likes to pay delivery charges and so we have kept ours as low as is economically possible. Please remember that DND is a specialist service with a small turnover that is dedicated to providing much more than just a purchasing facility. We go to great lengths to offer a personal service - sourcing products, checking ingredients and keeping people updated via an email newsletter. Our next day, flexible courier service for approximately 93% (stock permitting) of all orders placed before 3pm on Monday to Thursday remains second to none and an excellent service. Delivery is also often a lot cheaper than the equivalent drive to the shops and parking tickets!
Delivery Charges
The online shop is now able to calculate all shipping rates regardless of the size of your order or delivery location. Prices start from just £1.95 and increase with weight. As a guide, the shipping cost for an average sized order (around 4 kilos) is £5.95. This means that you can order anything from one toothbrush or bar of soap for example to a weekly shop and only pay the delivery charge that is appropriate and relevant
Reduced Prices
The new rate for the majority of orders has been reduced to just £5.95 and will benefit many of our customers. However due to ever-increasing transport costs, it is no longer possible to subsidise heavier orders to the same degree as before. Whilst we have done what we can to cover as much of the real courier charges as possible, if we are to stay in business, the delivery charges must be more realistic, given the actual costs involved
What this actually means
The good news is that based on our calculations from previous orders (in July 2006), 61% of people will now pay less carriage than previously, 26% will pay the same and 13% will end up paying more. We apologise to our regular customers with these heavier orders (e.g for milk, juice etc) for the unavoidable increases that are now necessary but hope they understand as they know that we are only a small organisation with limited financial resources and are struggling to make ends meet at present due to ever increasing courier bills

Courier Situation
Over the years we have tried several different courier companies and although one or two were marginally more cost effective, our great service was unfortunately significantly compromised by their inefficiency. We therefore continue to try and offer our customers the best possible solution both in terms of cost and delivery service and review the companies we use on a regular basis
Holidays
Please allow some flexibility in the delivery times over Christmas and New Year and during our annual holiday when our exemplary quick service will be disrupted due to a lack of man-power!. Thank you
